Our Lady of Fatima
Reichley and Deitz - Released 06/13/17
Our Lady of Fatima is interesting on many levels. As Catholic Christians, being familiar with and studying topics such as Our Lady of Fatima can bring us closer to God. As Mary said, “Do whatever He tells you.” John 2:5.
Mary appeared to three children named Jacinta, Francisco, and Lucia near Fatima, Portugal in 1917. The message and miracles associated with the apparitions have been an interesting part of Catholicism in the 20th Century. Francisco and Jacinta died in 1919 and 1920, respectively, and were canonized as Saints on May 13, 2017 by Pope Francis. Lucia lived as a nun and died in February 2005 at the age of 97.
An authentic source for information on this topic is the website for The Shrine of Fatima, http://www.fatima.pt/en/home as well as material from EWTN https://www.ewtn.com/fatima/ and Franciscan Media https://www.franciscanmedia.org/our-lady-of-fatima/. Also, as is the case for the topic of Marian apparitions, there are websites of dubious efficaciousness.
